Kobie Hadjik 3 for 5
Colton Schmidt 3 for 6
corey Hail 2 for 3 with 3 walks
Trey Porras 3 for 6

I think a tie game till the 11th with an undefeated team is a little better than average.....

I agree with you jayfan1. It was a great game until the 11th both teams play teams played well, both team had opportunities early in the game. As far a Bull19 is concerned, if they are extremely average, then Bull19, what does it feel like to be extremely underaverage.

The Jays are still undefeated? I haven't gotten a chance to follow them much after football season due to change in jobs/schedule, a newborn, etc. etc. I'd like to get out and make it to a game here soon.

The Bluejays 13-0 (5-0) host the Sweeny Bulldogs 10-4 (5-0) this Saturday at 3:30. Should be a good game between these two rival schools.

Bull19 to answer your question, Columbus had seven errors early in the game. I would hate to call this average. The team pulled together to make up for these errors, but will have to work them out to have a good season.

I would say Bull19 that you never beat Columbus. Does that make you well below average.

no. im proud to say that i played for a above average baseball team that dominated columbus every year we played them. i played for a baseball team that has made the playoffs 23 of the last 24 years.

what about columbus?

If it makes you feel better Bull19, then keep telling yourself that.

Bellville has missed the playoffs at least twice since '85. They missed them in '89 and then again right before the three team fiasco began. It was either '99 or '00 i believe.

I wasn't at the game and seven errors is a lot, but still the game was tied in the 11th. Was Needville making errors too, or was the Columbus pitcher keeping the Needville hitters in check until the latter part of the game?

You did a darn good job Bull keeping the pine plank warm. I am so proud of you. You need to quit drinking the water and come to reality. There is an old saying"The farther south you go of I-10 the more they cheat". Does this really apply now days or just when you played???

I don't know about 1989, but we missed the playoffs my sophomore year, 1998. We had Zboril from that senior class, who was all-state and signed with Baylor, and then all of us sophomores. There was about 6-7 of us that started at some point, with Balke starting SS as a freshman.

Columbus beat us that year in Columbus by 1 run in the final district game. We finished 3rd and missed the playoffs. The next year, 3 teams made it. We went 18-2 in district the next two year, losing in '99 at Giddings, and at Columbus in '00. We won district both years and lost to eventual state qualifier Waco Robinson both years in the playoffs.

Oh, by the way, XMan, tell your sister hello for me.

The Columbus pitcher did a good job keeping Needville bats at hand. Not a lot of strike outs, but a lot of playable hits. Like I said earlier, both teams had opportunities, but only one took advantage in the 11th. Needville very tough from 1 - 9 in the lineup. Look forward to seeing them again in the second round.

Cardinals 7, Brahmas 5 that year. Bellville also beat Ctown the first time around by scoring 4 runs in the 7th inning to win 8-7.

All scorekeepers are different had their own opinions if they are hits or errors

I still think passed balls or wild pitches should be errors but that will never happen
