I went with the local cable company...which isn't cable, but wireless.

My deciding factor was...they are local.

The few people I have talked to that have it say they have never had a problem with it and I don't have to sign a contract. It's month to month.

I thought that was a good thing to get in case SBCglobal is ever available, but after talking to them last week and finding out that all the internet customer service is outsourced....and talking to "them" can put me in a bad mood faster than anything....I decided paying twice as much just might be worth it in the end!!:D

Well actually....ever since I got this laptop, my computer finds a high speed connection on it's own....so I have had High speed for the past month...but it's not mine. And it has never had more than one bar and is very unpredictable.

I would figure most of my posts have come from work...and I have always had high speed there!!:D

I didn't have many options.....so SHUT UP!!!!!!!

I talked to the neighbors on either side of me, they both have the same thing I do...they both said they have never had a problem with it.
