Are the ones in your area being remodeled?

I went to the one closest to my house today, the same one I go to at least 4 times a week....and it was GONE...demolished!!!

I was so shocked...like a dummy, I pull in and there's nothing there but rubble, so I had to figure out how to back out into traffic.

Come to find out (I went to the next closest Sonic) that all the Sonics in town are being revamped!!

I don't know because ours is filled with nothing but pot-heads and Emos so I don't eat there.


BUT, the one in LJ just got through being re-done.

The one in Cameron was done two weeks ago.

Someone told me that the one done on the opposite side of town from me has a "retro" look, but I haven't seen it!!

The Cuero Sonic recently got a face lift as well..... More of a cosmetic "redo" than structural.......

The building is almost all torn down....all the drive up places are GONE! Of course, this Sonic has been there as long as I can remember, and it used to be on a road that wasn't traveled that much, but it was right off the interstate.

Now, the new Wal-Mart sits directly behind it and all kinds of businesses have gone in up and down that street, so hopefully they are going to be able to enlarge it somewhat.

There is an abandoned McDonalds right next to it, hopefully they bought that land too and plan to expand!!

Ours was redone but not tore down... it now has the swipey machines at the menu for credit cards now. Its looks a lot better now with the stuff they did to it.

All of ours have had the card swipe for 3 years or so!!

All 5 of ours were remodeled as far as I know.

Bridge City built a new one down the road about a mile from their old one, which is supposed to become a Golden Chick I believe. The new Sonic opened up about 2 months ago.

I came through Breckinridge today and noticed the sonic that had been there forever had closed down, but they built a brand spanking new one just a couple blocks west of there. Nice looking place.
I also saw on my trip a new McDonalds that was very retro looking. It may have been in Graham where I saw that. I hate McDonalds with a passion, but that was a very cool looking building.

Actually, it got torn down and rebuilt. I went there on a Monday or Tuesday to get lunch and it was a pile of rubble (it was there the Friday before). By that Friday there was a brand new building there --- and already open. I noticed they had bought the lot next door, which used to be a chiropractor's office, and absorbed that space. They needed it because it was REALLY cramped.

Sonic food is horrible, whether the building has been remodeled or not. I only go there for slushes and mozzerella sticks.

i got one of their chicken bacon ranch sandwiches the other day.....it wasn't bad. kinda expensive though for sonic

I like the Cheddar Peppers too....with a Route 44 Vanilla Diet DP!!!!:thumbsup:

I mainly go just for a drink though!

I'm a fan of the Lemon Berry slush, the Powerade slush, and a combination of cherry, orange and lime. :)
