Thought I've heard it all now

My friend in Northern Minnesota said that schools have of Archery Teams up there

He said hockey is biggest high school sport.

We had archery at Houston Wheatley in the early 70's and I competed in the jr AAU meet @ Rice Uni in 1974 and got 3rd place
in the 50 yard target . It has died out since that time but it was fun .

there is 4H sport shooting...that is like bb gun target and archery

Sweetwater had an archery class for a couple years back in the late 70s. It was held down in the bowl, which probably wasnt the best idea to begin with. Arrows would slide under the grass, only to be found later during a football game. That was always interesting. And then there were the complaints of the neighbors who got tired of finding arrows stuck in their yards and roofs.:D
And yes, I launched a few across Sweetwater myself.;)
