School's Church Priority - Holy Week

Just curious to see if there are any schools who won't alow teams to participate in athletics during Holy Week on Wednesday-Friday.

I know 3A teams are playing softball and baseball on Thursday

There are also track meets on Thursday

I know some 2A school adminatrations and school board members wont allow their teams to play

I guess each school district is different.

They say religion is a priority over athletics.

Usually Wed is open unless necessary for rain outs from Tuesday

I think Brownwood's track meet is thur-fri....with all the rain today I bet a lot of baseball teams use this weekend for make up games

I seriously doubt if they will play on Good Friday

Schools and parents frown on that

I know from what I heard many 8-4A games are being rescheduled for Saturday in baseball...Everman got their game in today against Mineral Wells...rest of the slate got rained out...8-4A is playing on Friday this week also...I'm guessing a lot of baseball coaches would rather not play 3 district games in a week as it would be a big drain on pitching staffs...


maybe it's just a 3A thing because checking the schedules in 5A and 4A many districts are still playing on Friday...

District 5-5A is pushing games that were rained out today to Thursday and playing the games originally set for Friday on Saturday
