now what made Thriller the song was the video... take away the video and the song is not much... imo...

I would call "Hey Jude" one of the most overrated songs ever, but most of the Beatles catalog is extremely good.

Nickelback is the definition of overrated. Every songs is the same. Same chords, same vocal style, same general sound.

I gotta disagree too. That was my oldest son's favorite song and he told us more than once that he wanted it played at his funeral. Unfortunately, we had to fulfill his wish in July 04. He was 20. It's still pretty hard for me to listen to it now, and it's not necessarily my favorite, but it is a special song I guess you'd say. :)
