I don't know how many of you have heard, but I'm hearing some rumblings from the alumni association about a movement to change Texas A&M-Kingsville back to Texas A&I. Not sure how far it would go but as an alum I'm all for it...:thumbsup:

Bout time. Never could figure out why some had to change (Texas A&M at ...........) and some didn't (Tarleton State). A&M and UT seem to the main systems that made most of the others joining their systems change their names. TT and Texas State let those joining them keep their original names. Put me down as another vote to go back to my Alma Mater's name - Texas A&I University!

here is the skinny: last month the chancellor had an open forum on the topic of traits that should be considered for selection of next president of the university and an audience member posed a question to that possibility. per the alumni office that is as far as it went, nothing in the works, YET..

Maybe if they went back to Texas A&I Javelinas they might win some national titles again like the old Texas A&I Javelinas.
