In a game that featured two great pitching outings and some sloppy defense by both teams, the Hippos prevailed 4-2.

With Hutto trailing 2-1, the Hippos managed three runs in the bottom of the sixth without a base hit. Two walks and three errors spoiled an otherwise outstanding pitching performance by Cory Ochs of Caldwell.

John Cannon is a heck of a pitcher also.

He benefitted from a couple of double plays last night including one to end the game. The two runs he gave up were unearned as part of the four errors committed by the Hippos on the night.
