I went to a game a few weeks back vs the Grizzlies where he scored 12 in the first 5 minutes and didn't score again the rest of the night.

Let me go ahead and post JR2004's reply:

"I'm not worried. Gasol was out. If he'd been there, the Flagship would've won by 20.":p

You forgot the crack he's almost certain to make about the city of Houston

On a game where T-Mac was off, Rockets show they have other players who can win games.

You know, I've lived here 12 years, and the mosquitos really aren't that bad. There are much worse blood suckers in L.A. I'm sure...

He and Foley are retiring after this season. That's gonna be weird.

BTW...final was 104-92 Rockets.

Rafer Alston hit 8 three's and scored 31 points. Bobby Jackson 19 pts off the bench, Battier 14 pts, Scola 13 pts & 11 boards, T-Mac 11 pts and big Mutombo with 9 boards. The star of the game has to be Shane Battier, playing over 46 minutes and having the task of guarding Kobe. The final stats show Bryant shooting 11-33 for 24 points, that means he missed 22 shots! IMO, Lakers failed to take advantage of Houston's early 4th qtr foul problems. Not sure why they kept shooting jumpshots, when they should of been going to the hole.

I hate to tell him, but the Lakers are in danger of dropping to 5th or 6th. They play Dallas & Utah, both on the road and Phoenix has a couple of games that they should win.

It doesn't take long...S.A. lost 3 straight and went from 2nd to 6th.

you know, in the off season... I was one of those that thought the Rockets should trade Alston, and find a way to trade Battier, I was not a fan of trading Rudy Gay for Battier,
but I actually watched most of that game and I see now why they kept them and I am loving it... I admit I was wrong...
as for any one doubting the validity of the game, Gasol and Bynum were missing for the Lakers but so are Yao and mcGrady was basically a no show... Rockets still win because they are the better team...

Gasol & Bynum were out for the Lakers and Yao & Landry were out for the Rockets. Even though McGrady didn't shoot well, he did create shots for his team mates. At least he didn't miss 22 shots.

since yesterday's game was the first one i've actually watched of the rockets during their streak i sat there wondering if i would cause them to lose by jinxing them. oh how i was wrong. pretty exciting esp. knowing that they can win even if t-mac is having a bad night
