Buy the absolute best that you can afford. Footjoys or Etonics or Eccos. I used to get great shoes from MasterGrip company.

I picked these up on eBay last year for about $80 less than retail. I went to these after a few pairs of Footjoys didn't fit my foot well. Take the time to go by a PGA Superstore and have them analyze your foot. It's free and they can show you what shoes do/don't work for you. The amount of info they can give you about your foot is cool.

A good pair of Nike running shoes is a good pick also. Even cross trainers. COMFORT first.

ya until classics are broken in your feet will hurt and have blisters...but once they are they are perfect and last a really long time

I bought some footjoys from Academy last year that look more like cross trainers than golf shoes, but they are golf shoes and are very very comfortable. Dont remember what I paid, but I know it was way under $100. Played 36 holes in them the day after I bought them and never felt like I was breaking in a new pair of shoes. I lover em.

I bet I can hit a ball as far as you can!:p

Problem is, it may be just as far out of bounds, and it can be either right or left.:(

I've got a friend that plays in flip flops. Worse yet, he's got the ugliest size twelves you have ever seen. Then when he steps up and hits a perfect 300 yard drive down the middle with your club, it'll really piss you off.

i have a very unique stance and start of my swing. what happens after that is al good. at the driving ranges out here, the old guys get a kick out of me, its good for conversation.

I have a pair of Footjoy eComforts that I bought last fall, and they were very comfortable for someone who's never worn a golf shoe before. GreenJoys aren't horrible, but they're kind of a lower line of Footjoys, but I'd highly recommend the eComfort. They'll cost you around $80, but they've got a two year waterproof warranty on them, and you can buy replacement spikes if you need them, so theoretically, they should last several years.

I bought my dad (86 yrs old) a new pair of golf shoes for Christmas and he immediately went to see his Dr. and asked him for some Viagra. His Dr. is an old friend also. He told him that he wasn't sure that at his age Viagra would be good for his heart. My dad told him that he only planned on taking 1/4 of a tablet at a time. The Dr. told him that only 1/4 probably wouldn't result in a full e*&^%^&&**, and my dad told him that was fine, that all he wanted was for it to stick out far enough that he wouldn't pee on his new golf shoes!:D

Cedar Crest CC used to be Dallas Country Club. Charles Coody who won the Masters in 71 and lives in Abilene now, won his only other tournament other than the Masters on that course when it was the Texas Open.

*** sidenote****--- He must have driven through Celina sometime prior to the Masters to have been given his ability. :D
