PL Regional Results

Got a call from LHPM:

Final squat was 645 lbs for the BEAST! With this squat he improved on his personal best of 605 lbs. :clap: Congrats B!

He was gonna do press bench next.

Bench press: 345 lbs improved his personal best of 335 lbs

Next up, his final event: dead lift, personal best of 535 lbs.

He is currently in 1st place :cheerl:

The other LH lifter was currently in 5th place with a total of 1365.

Dustin Baxley (165 lb.)

Both went to state meet last year as well. Congrats.

I was trying to pay attention. I'm pretty sure that one of them got first in his weight class, but I could be confused.

Many thanks to Coach Balch from Gatesville, the Region II Director and to all the staff and volunteers. It was very well organized and ran like clockwork. :clap:

Congrats to both our boys today for their fine performances. 1st & 5th for the first LH trip to Regionals isn't too shabby. This is the first year that our 5th place lifter has competed, so that's very good for him!




Many congrats to Navasota and Bosqueville for winning the meet in their Division. :clap: :clap:

LOTS of good lifters from many 3A towns in the area. I've got some pictures of different kids on the dead lift. I'll post some later on.

How did Rockdale's Barcak do? He's always a strong lifter and was 1st in region II in the 198 class.

Barcak is the one that I think got 1st, just couldn't remember his name.


I wish I had taken notes. :doh: The one class I do remember, at least the town they were from, was the 123. Probably because the 3rd place lifter and his parents were sitting next to us during awards. lol

123 class - Sealy 1st, Navasota 2nd, Smithville 3rd
275 class - Navasota lifter got 2nd


I've been looking for qualifying results, but haven't found them yet.

Region III, Division 2 results are up! :clap: Pleasant Grove won the meet with 20 points. :clap:

:eek: :eek: :eek: In the 275 class, there had been a kid from Palestine Westwood that had a total of 1700 going into the regional meets and had led that class pretty convincingly. It doesn't appear that he lifted yesterday....or didn't make it out of squat/bench.
