Will be a good test for Coach Cerny, I hope that he can get the bats going. How did they do Monday night.

how will they determine a tourny champion with that format?

because thats all bracket play...the first day is the top half of the bracket determining who goes where and the second day is the bottom half of the bracket determining who goes to championship, third place, conso and loser game on sat...and as stated Sat is for the loser of the losers game, conso, third and championship

Bellville rained out Monday, played last night. Episcopal scored 4 runs in the top of the eighth to break a 0-0 tie. Bellville couldn't come back. Bellville changed pitchers every two innings, with Kendrick getting roughed up for 2 runs. There were few hits on either side.

bellville and episcopal have been playing each other forever...it seems.

Hope Coach Cerney can find the bats, if that happens, Bellville will be tough.

Bellville did a good job last night. They have nothing to hang their heads about.

Good luck to them in the La Grange Tournament on Thursday and Saturday. Hopefully they will be playing in that 4:30 game on Saturday afternoon.

Hutto and Weimar have a past. In the late 90s early 00s they offten played against eachother in the baseball playoffs. Both Hutto and Weimar were highly ranked in baseball back then when Hutto was 2a

seems like they started playing in the mid 80's and through most of the 90's....I knew a few guys from Bellville while I was at A&M....one I believe may be principal there now and the other's dad was an assistant principal while we were at A&M.

I talked to a Bellville friend last night, I asked him about the baseball team. He said they cannot hit, with Rockdale shouting them out he must be right.

The Tigers entire pitching staff is juniors. There are only a few seniors that are on the team and one sophomore. Look for the Tigers to improve as they play together more.

They have a mostly sophomore JV that has only lost one game when so far and a freshman team that is pretty good as well.

Baseball is making a rapid return to Tigerland as well as the other boys sports. Great job by the kids and coaches......

The track team looks fast and VERY young.

Weimar was losing to Hutto 15 - 0 when the game was called due to rain. The rest of the games today have been postponed. I did not hear the new schedule.

Bellville went 0-0 through 5 with Rockdale. We had runners on in the first and third and couldn't score. In the 6th we made a couple of errors and gave up two then gave up four in the 7th. Bellville is also fielding a young team. Today we started 2 seniors, 7 juniors and one soph. One of our Sr's is our DH. Our three top starting pitchers are 2 Jr's and one Soph. If we can wake up the bats we should also continue to improve.

They will get it going. The guys were young this last year and with all but a few guys coming back from the team that they had this last year they will be tough as well.

Look for good things.............

Rumor is that the tournament has been cancelled, and that Bellville will play Weimar at 2:00pm Saturday in Bellville as a regular game. Can someone confirm this?
