I just bought a Mirrored Univ of Texas License plate, it has the burnt ornage longhorn logo in the middle. Is this plate legal if I have it on the front or will I get pulled over? I've seen a lot of people with custum plates!!

Is it a registered license plate or something you bought from a sporting goods store?

I bought it at Dick's Sporting Goods.

I doubt it, that is just a piece of tin, not a license plate

You have to have a front license plate in the state of Texas so yes you will get pulled over.

It's probably supposed to be a wall decoration.

looks like it is standard size... what I would do is call the DMV and ask them if you can send them a frame to form an official plate out of..... that site above says "Officially licensed " but i'm guessing that's just the logo

Yep. "officially licensed" by UT to use the logo. Definitely not an official Texas plate. I suppose he could display it in his rear window of his car. There are no numbers on it, so that shouldn't violate any state law.

"The Lone Star State"

has to be visible.

Not anymore, however it cannot block or infringe on the "Texas"
