As a Bears fan, Farve was a worthy opponent. If true - the Hall of Fame awaits...............

I for one am shocked I thought this was just a ploy to be in the media and he was going to come back like he has in previous years. It made a lot more sense for him to retire after last year then after this year. Sicem74 will be crushed.

wow...I honestly thought he'd come back for one more go after getting so close last year with such a young team.

He was fun to watch, but I'll bet he'll enjoy his retirement.
Congratulations Brett!

I for one will hate to see him hang 'em up. I know it's getting time to but dag gum, I love watching a guy play that shows that much heart & desire to win. He's been great for the game and alot of fun to watch play.

I guess his hopes of playing with Moss were dashed yesterday so he hung em up?

I thought he at least had one more year in him. He's leaving a very good team.

Finally...I"m glad he retired. Aaron Rodgers will take the packers to a super bowl because he will protect the ball.

He went out like he should have....THROWING AN INTERCEPTION.

Go Blue,

No offense, but that may be the dumbest, most unAmerican post ever. Wait..... I need to go back through some of your old ones before I make that an official declaration........... OK, I checked... and I stand by my statement. And, I approved this announcement.:foul:  :D

My thoughts exactly. If they had signed Moss, Favre would be chomping at the bit to play one more year.

I'm glad he's gone. He should have retired 3 years ago. I'm tired of him and all his hogging of the spotlight.
