Giddings vs Taylor 2/25/08 tied 13-13, top of the 6th inning, game called due to lightning. Taylor is a very solid bunch of players, took advantage of the walks Giddings pitchers gave them and played very aggressive and hustled on defense. Very impressed with the third baseman who later came in to pitch, fun athletic kid to watch. Giddings bats were there for them once again, with three players 11, 2, 6 going yard. #6 smacked one over the center field wall. Reported in local paper # 6 also batted .684 for the Rockdale Tournament previous weekend. Very Young Giddings team (2 fresh, 4 soph, 3 jr, 2 sr) still learning with mostly underclassmen as starters.

Giddings plays in Sealy Tournament 2/28-3/1. 1 st game against Episcopal Knights Thurs loss 7-5, good offspeed pitching by the Knights. Giddings walks too many, finally decided to wake up in the 5th. Friday's game 2:30 pm against Brazos High.

Ingram is 6-0..beat Brady 13-0 and a really stron Ingram JV 22-1..good strength of schedule so far.

ALSO, a quick note on the Sealy Tournament. Pitcher from 2nd Baptist Academy who I was told would play for Tulane pitched a perfect game on Friday. Scouts lined the fence, reminded me of seeing Homer. 92 mph. Great athlete.
