There was an interesting article in Sports Illustrated today about how college hoops fans are going too far. It cited Kevin Love in Oregon and Eric Gordon in Illinois as its main examples. What are your thoughts on this?

I haven't seen the article, but I watched the Indiana@Illinois game a few weeks back. The behavior of the Illinois fans (and some of the players) towards Eric Gordon and his family was an embarassment.

Love is from there and the fans really laid into him when UCLA went up to Oregon. I believe Oregon actually apologized to UCLA and Love for the things they said to him during the game.

I think the players actions of bumping into him in the intro were uncalled for and throwing stuff at parents too for that matter...but in today politically correct and bs world freedom of speech is a key issue...

all rivalries have "____ talking" and every visiting team gets a good round of hazing, i don't think a school should have to apologize for students yelling...

i agree...when Eric Gordan went to shake one of Illinois players hand the player hit him with his shoulder and made Eric Gordan look like a fool
