View Full Version : Tech vs. A&M

Any interest in this basketball game?

Tech has finally won a road conference game and A&M is on a slide.

Would a second loss to Tech put a nail in the coffin of A&M?

I've been on a bit of a non-sports tear lately, so I thought maybe this might right my ship.

Is the game tonight? Is it on TV? If so, what time and channel? (I would look but I've got to skeedaddle in just a minute.)

GUNS UP!
Tomorrow night (Wednesday). 7pm.

Just thought this might be an interesting game to discuss. But, the Ags are too busy biting their fingernails I guess?!?

I would love to see Tech go 3-0 against A&M.

Tech is on a roll and I can see them beating A&m again. Voskuil and Zeno have been on a tear lately...;)

I think Nebraska might have put the nail in our coffin. All Tech has to do is play pressuring man-to-man defense and spread the floor on offense and they'll give themselves a great chance to win. Our lack of a PG is showing once again. We have an athletic team, but aren't very skilled. We don't have great ball handlers and our only pure shooter, Carter, severely misses Acie creating open shots for him. We had a three game slide earlier in conference that we managed to get out of, so all is not lost yet. If we can figure out how to use our size and athleticism to overcome our shortcomings, we can still win some games. It's just going to have to be done with defense.

I hate to already be looking to next year, but at 6-6 in conference, our tournament chances are slipping away, so I will. The two guys we've got coming in, a PG and PF, will more than likely start immediately. The PG is going to have an Augustine like impact for the Ags and the PF will be a slimmer, more skilled version of Jospeph Jones. If DeAndre stays another year like he should, we'll be a young, but much more talented team. Carter will be the lone senior and with a PG dishing him the rock, I wouldn't be surprised to see him approach the 50% 3-pt percentage he was at last year.

Now back to this year...

I told my wife that I was going to attempt to watch Tech play tonight. But I hate to do it because it seems everytime I watch them play, they play like a junior high team.

I have turned the game off.

I haven't seen the Ags play with this kind of intensity all year. Turgeon has also gone to his bench a little more, playing guys that haven't played much all year and it seems to have put a spark in the team. MUCH more active on the offensive end tonight. Not as much standing around without the ball. I think the most energy is coming from Turgeon on the sidelines, though. Dude is intense tonight.

It's on TXA21 in the Dallas area. Check your local TXA(formerly UPN) channel

When we "had" UPN, it was a San Antonio station. A few weeks ago, something was on the Dallas "formerly known as UPN" channel. I accidentally found it on the WB, but not tonight. :(

Sounds like Tech is stinking up the joint, anyway.

had to be one of the ags best games of the year. they better play with that passion the rest of the way, or it will be the NIT for them. good win for the aggies..

They were aggressive early...something that's been lacking in Big 12 play since beating Texas earlier in the year. Also, it always helps when you're hitting outside shots early. Tech shot the ball well early on...but once the lead got to 15 it was over and they started missing wide open looks. Congrats to the Ags on a big win! :)
