I dont knwo what it is here right now but I knwo the wind is howling at about 25-30. Not gusts thats the constant wind speed makes it a pain in the bootie to drive and walk in

Do you live in Midlothian? Just curious because I work in Midlothian.

No. I live in Dallas in the Preston/Forest area. I just work out here.

ha....I shot better than you this weekend!! :)

84 @ Tour 18...42/42.

Sad thing was my card read like this:

3 birdies
6 pars
4 bogies
4 double bogies
1 triple bogey

I guess that crown went from warming me up (teed off shortly after 8AM when it was in the mid 30's) to wearing me down (3 cups in by the back 9 when the wheels came off.) :D:D :(

On #17 (12 from Augusta National) I put 2 in "Rae's Creek" from 145 yds out (with a 7 and a 6 iron) before finally hitting a 4 iron to 15 feet. Made the putt and carded a 6. The wind had to be at least 25 mph dead into me. On a calm day I hit 9 iron to that green...and have even hit a wedge once or twice.

I ended up playing Amen Corner at +6. I've played it in -2 but usually am content to play it at +1. The wind just ripped me a new one on the back.

i had 2 doubles and a triple on my front

had a birdie, bogey, and i doubled 18 on the back...

first time on this course in a while, took me a while to get used to fast greens, kept hitting it too far by the hole....7 of my shots on the front were putts for at least bogey...

That sounds like me...especially on the back nine. I had 30 or 31 putts...forget if it was 14 or 15 on the back.

7*??? Dang...I'm up to a 10* now. Then again...I can hit a 10* driver at 5.5* (swing is too flat...though it's getting better) so I needed to add more loft.

I carry a 17* Tommy Armour hybrid. Considering I bought it new for under $50...it's been good to me. It's not as long as some of the others I've hit (I can hit it about 220 but it's A LOT easier to control than a 3 iron)...but since I don't carry a 3 wood I needed something reliable at that range so I added it in.

Some of the new 3 wood designs are appealing to me though so I might be adding one back into the bag soon. Been playing w/o it for 2 years now and that 40-50 yd gap in my bag is tough on some courses...and especially on par 5's.

it is a ping g2 - 7* with a generic ping stiff shaft...i hit the ball VERY high with all clubs...this one actually has a decent ball flight...

i have a callaway x 15* 3 wood that i found in the used section at golfsmith about a year ago, i love it, it is the first 3 wood i have had in almost 5 years...

its amazing, ive gone through 5 sets of irons, 6 drivers, 3 sets of wedges, but i still have the same putter i started with 10+ years ago lol...

Snow cover over North America and much of Siberia, Mongolia and China is greater than at any time since 1966.

I'm almost the opposite...

I've gone through 8 drivers, 4 sets of wedges, and at least 5 putters...but only my 3rd set of irons in 12 years. I started on a set of Tommy Armour 845's when I was 12...moved to a custom set of KZG's when I was 18...and bought a new set of Cleveland TA2's last summer at 24. I'm real picky about changing irons cuz it takes me a while to adjust to them. Last year I had my handicap down as low as 7.7 with my KZG's. Then I buy new irons and just yesterday posted my first sub 85 round (everything had been 85 to 96 since last July). I'm finally getting some comfort in them so hopefully I can get back down under a 10 this year.
