Anybody see this game? I know Wylie didn't play with McNoll(SP) since thump thump just ended.

Burk beat Wylie twice in two seperate sports this weekend? Not many teams can say that they have done that.

For what Burk lacks in football, they have good basketball and baseball programs. Can't forget softball for the girls either, as they made it to the state finals last year.

Wylie committed seven errors Saturday in a 14-6 home loss to Burkburnett in its season opener.

"We had some chances to make some big plays to get out of innings, but we couldn't get it done," Wylie coach Clay Martin said.

Even with all the Bulldogs' mistakes, the game wasn't decided until the late innings. Wylie trailed 5-4 after three innings and the score was 9-5 after six. But a five-run seventh for Burkburnett put the game out of reach.

Jared Wallace, who started the game on the mound and threw three innings, hit his first home run of the season to give Wylie its only extra-base hit.

Reliever Matt Field took the loss for Wylie.
