Good game to watch. In the bottom of the seventh El Campo loaded the bases with only one out but a diving catch by the first baseman followed by a tag of first base sealed to game for the Jays. Good game guys

Great tournament by the Rockets, tough to win 6 games in three days!

Have decided to jump on the forum discussions with my first post. Just a mom who reads all the interesting stuff about the sports programs around 3A.

Attended the Rockdale baseball tournament. Robinson has a very good team, good hitters and saw good pitching all weekend.

Interested to know what caliber the pitcher is considered on Robinsons team who pitched against Giddings in the championship? Talk among Giddings players that Robinson had much more and they were lucky not to have faced the "Ace".

Also in reply to Mr. UT (buff4life), the pitching held up well for Giddings but the bats brought them through the tournament. it certainly was not the defense, it was very very shaky all both days. Pitched three JV pitchers in the championship with one of them being mainly a catcher.
All in all, I was very impressed with the caliber of teams that were in this tournament. Very competitive and good for all teams to see this level early in the season.

thats good to hear...i knew the team would have hitting but seeing how Giddings never really was known for pitching and from experience the kids having their arms "hurting" from like day one, i didn't think we would have enough pitching to hold up in 6 games...3 jvers in the championship probably didn't help...but congrats to the team best result in a tournament i've seen in a while
