The SA Highlands one was kind of odd, since they were requesting to placed in a 4A district, with 5A numbers.

Yeah I'm suprised, my fiance graduated from SMHS and last time we were down there we went and looked at the new school and it looks like a huge prison. That area is really growing alot, but I've heard the SM schools aren't great and there are alot of other choices in the area.

"Aren't great" would be viewed as an understatement by most in the area.

The rumor in the SA area was that they did their math wrong...and uil felt they should have caught the error earlier.

Laredo is predominately Hispanic. I hope that race didn't enter into their denials.

Are you kidding me? I can't believe you thought that for a second. Your calling out the UIL as making a decision against a school based on race?

He doesn't think that, you would have to know that most everything Phil C says is tongue-in-cheek. :)

Dripping Springs changes districts for everything EXCEPT football?

So we'll play them in football but not baseball or basketball?

I've never seen that before.

Football schedules are made almost as soon as numbers come out. (That same day usually)

San Marcos has the same deal. Not sure how they convinced UIL it was a travel issue?

I remember when North Crowley came out...didn't the mess up their numbers and have to play 4A football and 3A other sports or something like that....or it may have been the other other way. 3A football and 4A other sports.

San Marcos should have been put in that district to begin with......it's like the San Marcos coach said in the paper with a cheap pair of binoculars you can almost see half the schools in that district from the roof of San Marcos high....Lehmann and Hays same county....Lockhart 20 mins. away.

wasn't it that way at one time for San Angelo Central...football with Lubbock and Amarillo and other sports with Midland/Odessa/Ab.
