It happened in 1895 when Coach Frank "Little" Crawford was hired as the football coach for one season which wasn't unusual back then. He was hired later in the season so all of the games were played in November except the last game and all were in Austin except for the first one played in Dallas. He had a perfect 5 - 0 record for the one year he was at UT. Also remember back then that it wasn't unusual for teams to just play four to six games a year. The games were as follows:

11-11 Beat Dallas University 10 - 0
11-18 Beat Austin YMCA 24 - 0
11-23 Beat Tulane 16-0
11-28 Beat San Antonio 38 - 0
12-06 Beat Galveston 8 - 0

That is right a perfect 5 - 0 record and five shutouts. They outscored the opponents 96 - 0!

A great job by Coach Crawford and the UT football team!

They were the masters of their focusness!
