As great as he is, he has almost never done well at match play.

Unless it's against Stephen Ames. :D

After the match.

Reporter: Tiger what do you think about Ames comments?

Tiger: 9 & 8.

I need to clarify that what Tiger said about Ames comments was
shown on ESPN and not the article I linked.

Its because he's willing to go for broke on nearly any shot from anywhere. But he's so good at it, he can recover from the bad ones in 72 holes like a normal tourny. But in an 18 hole match, it can jump up and bite him on the butt. I bet he'll eventually modify his game some as he gets older, to where he wont be quiet so aggressive in match play events.

JB Holmes can play. He's an aggressive player and that's the type of player that can beat Tiger in match play. TW either struggles in the 1st round and loses...or he starts off on a big win and takes the entire tournament. That's his MO at the Accenture.

Holmes 2 up through 12 now...

Scarey thing about Tiger though, he can jump up and get an eagle at any time and turn things around. 2 down with 6 to play. My money's still on Tiger.

3 down through 13 now...

He has a makeable birdie putt coming up on 14 though while Holmes is just off the green.

Dang I wish I actually would have had some money on this.

Woods was 3 down with five holes to play when he holed a 15-foot birdie putt on the 14th. Then came Holmes’ lone mistake down the stretch, a three-putt from behind the 15th that allowed Woods to lag his 18-footer for birdie, and he was walking to the hole when it dropped, charging up the gallery.

Then came a 20-foot birdie on the 16th to square the match, followed by a 35-foot eagle to complete his amazing rally.

And when Holmes missed an 8-foot birdie on the final hole, Woods had escaped with a 1-up victory.

ehh...any bet you would've had would've been with Tiger as the heavy favorite! Before yesterday, you could get him as a 9/4 favorite to win the match play.

Yeah but I bet I could have gotten a lot better odds when he was 2 down with 6 holes to play, which is where he was when I said my money was on Tiger.

he's like a machine

very few athletes or teams in any sport have achieved a level of domination that tiger has

but it's not just his winning, it's how he does it

AS heading to 17...Baddeley just got a wood to 2 hop and check...he's got 13 feet for eagle.

Tiger reaches the green in 2 also...has about 20 feet for eagle.

Yep that's how they call Tiger's putts. Collins and the British lady crack me up when they're following Tiger's group. They know Tiger's routine with exact precision.

Yeah he totaly sucks at match play and should give it up.:p
