Columbus vs. Rice Cons. (baseball)

Had a buddy of mine tell me that Columbus beat Rice Cons. 3-0 in a pitcher's duel...any info??

Was not a bad game overall Columbus made a few errors but they look solid there problem was they could not get there bats started. But I know they have them because I attended there scrimmage at Hallettsville and the entire team hit the ball and played some good defense it was hard to tell who the starters were.As for Rice they were making some plays in the infield and were flawless until the 5th.That is when the lead off kid from Columbus hit a triple with two outs, and Columbus went on to score 3 that inning. I realy did not think Rice had much this year, since I heard Cook was not playing, but they are decent ball club that could make some noise in district.
