Wow, I didnt know they had a 16 Gig. I like mine just fine, my old lady has had a few problems with hers.

I am worried that cingular is going to boot us from their service since we live in Plainview now. I guess I will have a $400 Ipod if that does happen.

Why does it matter where you live?

If you live where they don't own towers, they won't let you resign a contract. You just pay monthly or something.

Apparently Plainview is dominated by Sprint towers. I had a friend that got kicked off of Cingular in Sweetwater because their towers were dominated by Cellular One.

if you live outside of the cingular network, you have to use other service provider's towers - and cingular has to pay a fee...so instead of you costing cingular money, they send you a letter and give you one month to change service...

We got booted from Cingular when we lived in SW Kansas...you might not get booted if they have a 'contract' with the provider's towers in your area...that is what we were told. Apparently they don't have a contract with Alltel...
