The Empre-Tribune said this morning, "Slaughter has since been relieved of duty at Glen Rose by Superintendent Wayne Rotan."

Whatever that means? It doesn't give any more info other than that.

Glen Rose stays in house. They won't go outside for this one.

I do not believe they are upset that he initially took the s-ville job. There is something else that has surfaced it seems....like someone on another board posted, him "backing out" of the S-Ville job might not be as it seems...he might not have "backed out". He may not have "withdrawn" his name...his name might have been withdrawn by S-Ville. Weird deal. Hope the best for him!

this is from the old coach

dont know if we're allowed to post posts from other message boards or not - it is not 'paid for' content - so should be ok

"being reported by Stephenville Empire Tribune.. but no details yet... www.theoldcoach.com has gotten numerous posts about the status of Glen Rose coach Erik Slaughter and whether he has been placed on administrative leave. Slaughter accepted the position at Stephenville but withdrew his name to stay at Glen Rose.Because of the sensitive nature being suggested about why Slaughter might have been placed on leave, the oldcoach would prefer not to have message board speculation. We are checking to see if Slaughter has been placed on leave and for what reasons. In the meantime, Stephenville elevated assistant Joe Gillespie to replace Chad Morris, who left for Lake Travis"
