Diboll better find an answer for CHoicetta Mcmillan which they couldnt do last game or it might be a long night.

Fairfield will have to stop big Nikki Green and that recruit at point guard if we want to win this game.

If FF goes into this game thinking the PG and Green are the only threats, they will lose.

And Diboll doesn't recruit, free will intervened in this case. :D

Im my mind Green is the only threat. I watched them play Lorena. Even when she wasn't filling the stat sheet she was doing great things for her team. The Lady Leopards were too scared (because Green was rejecting everything) to drive to the basket so they really didn't have an inside game. And they scored several baskets from her dumping the ball down the court to a wide open teammate on a fast break.

Without Green, I don't think they beat that team (they won by around 15). I know that's a big "what if" situation, but I'm simply saying the team isn't that great without her. They have several good players, don't get me wrong, but she should be the primary (and possibly only) concern.

I know the same might be said for Choicetta McMillian. That FF would be average without her. And I don't think I can disagree. She is amazing and w/o her FF would be hurting. So I'm looking forward to a great game between two very good teams with two very great players :)

But I'm thinking FF had to have lost a coin toss to be playing in Lufkin

I agree, Green takes this team to another level. Without her, Diboll would be a bit over avg. Diboll has her for another year as she's only a Jr. They'll only lose one player to graduation.

Earlier when these 2 played, Green was still nursing an injury and wasn't 100 %. Maybe she can be a bigger factor this time around.

I wonder if FF lost a toss too, Diboll only has a 10 mile drive to Lufkin.

I was just informed that FF was really pushing for a Monday game (so Diboll wouldn't have any time to prepare) so in exchange they picked the location. Now it all makes sense.

And she's only a junior!?! I wouldn't want to be playing them next year. Scary.

Knowing Fairfield I think its more about not having to play on the same night as the boys as it is anything.

Remember last year when noone played games on Tuesday because of the Taks Test and the girls played on Wednesday and the boys had to play on Thursday which meant they had to turn around and play again on Saturday if they would have won.

I don't see that happening. They'll do everything in their power to stop her. Plus she was just on that game. It's tough to top a performance like that. There was a span were she made like 9 consecutive shots. A Michael Beasley in a HS girl's body might best describe her shooting display in that game.

Average turn out probably. I don't think we have a whole lot of people supporting the post "golden egg class" team. I'd love for this team to win just 1 playoff game so all those "future all-stars" may finally realize they were never any more special than homemade soup.

What's that Jesus, Girls one game away from regional tournament takes precedence over intramurals? Okay, I'll try to spread the gospel.

This was a great game. Fairfield never gave up. Free throws made for FF was the difference maker. They were great from the line.

Good Job FF, go win RIII.

Diboll loses 1 starter to graduation, and returns the original 5 starters next season, as one starter from last season sat the whole year out due to personal reasons.
