After viewing most of the threads of the past week, I figured
I would think outside of the box and start a couple threads
about HS football.:eek: :D

Using this past seasons statewide Massey Ratings, you'd have to say District 2. Now go compare these rankings to the ones I did for 4 and 7. It's pretty dang eye-opening of just how stacked these two are.

Theoretically. I usually ignore the statewide rankings, though, and stick to the particular classification rankings. I only used statewide because of the teams dropping from 4A. There aren't enough inter-classification matchups to truly rank the entire state.

Anyway, I would have to say that dist. 8 has obviously had the most success and probably is the strongest at the top. But, overall from top to bottom with any one of 5 teams (sorry Breckenridge) potentially winning the district, and 2 very good teams going to stay home, I think Dist. 2 is strongest from top to bottom. So, taking that I would say it's a dead heat. And I would say that it was dumb idea for you to take this poll. :D :D

Canyon Lake however is a wild card.. most those kids come out of Smithson Valley and they have a good system..
