Free Buttermilk Pancakes on February 12th at IHOP Restaurants Nationwide to Benefit Charity
Children's Miracle Network Joins Forces With IHOP as Third National Pancake Day Celebration Stacks Up for a Good Cause

WHAT: IHOP's Third National Pancake Day Celebration Benefiting Children's
Miracle Network and other local charities.
On Tuesday, Feb. 12, IHOP restaurants nationwide will celebrate
National Pancake Day from 7 am to 10 pm and offer each guest a free
short stack of buttermilk pancakes. In return IHOP will ask guests
to donate what they would have paid for the pancakes or more to
Children's Miracle Network or other local charities.
With IHOP celebrating 50 years in 2008, restaurants around the
country are hoping to stack up more donations than ever before.
IHOP's goal is to raise more than $750,000, which will benefit
children's hospitals and other charities throughout the U.S. To
find a local IHOP or to donate online, visit
www.ihoppancakeday.com.
NOTE: Pancake Day has been celebrated for centuries as Mardi Gras
or Shrove Tuesday, which officially occurred last week on Feb. 5.
Last Tuesday was also a significant day for America as a large
number of states held their presidential primary elections and
caucuses, known as Super Tuesday. Out of respect for the
democratic process, IHOP moved its celebration one week to this
Tuesday, Feb. 12.
WHY: It's for the kids! For every delicious short stack of buttermilk
pancakes served on National Pancake Day, IHOP guests are invited to
make a donation to Children's Miracle Network or other local
charities.
WHEN: TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2008, 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.
WHERE: At participating IHOP restaurants across the country. To find a
local IHOP or donate online, visit www.ihoppancakeday.com.
