Yesterday I was at a stoplight. The car in front of me had a
Texas Tech sticker on the back window. It read "Ex-student
association". Shouldn't that be "Alumni association" or are they
two different things?

my guess is he is an ex student but not a member of the school's alumni chapter (not a free service).

That's just wrong. :D

I thought maybe it meant he attended but didn't get his degree.
That didn't make any sense though. Who'd want a sticker for
that?

i thought the difference was in whether or not they graduated. Dont you have to graduate to become an alumni? But you could go two years and just be an ex-student....

who knows!

Who knows. You could definitely be a grad and not join the TTAA. They could've stopped by one of the campus stores and bought the "ex student" sticker. The possibilities are endless. But yes...the OFFICIAL name is Texas Tech Alumni Association.

The thing that threw me of was the addition of association. That
makes it sound official and something TTU endorses.

Note: This isn't anything meant to take a dig at TTU. It could've
easily been a Michigan sticker:D

I just figured I'd go straight to my inside source.
