I really wanted to watch the Burnet/Marlin showdown, but it seems Sinton will be playing Cuero (at home) that same week, SO what other game is a "marquee" game?? And can you include directions or a street address for the stadium. Thanks!

I might have to make that drive... Seeing your baseball stadium again would be well worth the drive... The facilities there are well-kept...

Coack K does a great job with the field. I just wish they could afford to fix the seating.

Let us (Sinton folk) know if you make it out--we can arrange a meet & greet.

pirate4state, I'm sorry it took so long for someone to give you a reply, I must have overlooked this topic or I was just daydreaming again. Anyway here you go.

Other than the Burnet/Marlin game here are the ones I consider marquee games.

Burnet vs. Austin Reagan Aug. 29 @ Burnet
Burnet vs. Killeen Shoemaker Sep. 12 @ Burnet
Burnet vs. Bandera Oct. 17 @ Bandera
Burnet vs. Wimberley Oct. 24 @ Burnet

Bulldog Stadium is directly behind the High School which is 1 block east off Hwy 29 N. The high school/stadium is almost out of town on the north side of Burnet. The street name is N. Main st. You can see the stadium lights very easily from Hwy 29. Hope that helps!

I think you might be thinking of Hwy. 281 N. Because in no way is the stadium on Hwy. 29. The rest of the directions look right.

pirate4state, like ESPN1 said, it is off 281 N. not 29N since it runs east/west.LOL :)

Thanks Chris & ESPN1! I hope I can make it to one of these games. Might be able to make either: Burnet vs. Killeen Shoemaker Sep. 12 @ Burnet or Burnet vs. Wimberley Oct. 24 @ Burnet.

I am excited about seeing Burnet play Gatesville again this year.

Burnet put it on us, 42-20, last year, but we had more total offense (407-to-368)

LaShon Thayer rushed for 196 yards, but some costly turnovers and key plays were the difference.

It will be nice to see if the Hornets can stop the Bulldog air attack enough to outscore them.
