Who do you think will be the 3a State Champs?? Im hopin Bellville will come out on top!! Who do you think will win between Bellville and Sealy?? I dont think Bellville has a good a team as last year since we lost some vital senior players!! But i think next it will be worse!! Bellville is gonna suck i mean we are losing our key QB!! Jess Buenger is a very strong player for Bellville! I hope we have a great year!!!

Ok seriously. I'm gonna say Burnet (duh) and......and....hmmm.....I'll be a realist and say either Marlin....or.....hmm.....I dunno. I really don't think Bellville can hang w/ them this year. NO offense to them or anything, I just think once the Dawgs get it together, they're gonna create some awful big headaches.

If I had to vote for who I think the best team in each division is right now, I'd say Burnet and Rice. But ALOT can change in a couple months, in a couple weeks in fact.

Like 73 said, lets get thru district first, then take it one week at a time.

I'd say Anahuac is going to give it there best shot. They are way under-rated and can definitely compete with the best of them. Good Luck to all in Week 3.

I've said it all along, Bellville has the talent to go all the way this year. They ahve a great offense. They need to step it up a notch, flip the switch when they hit the field, make fewer and fewer mistakes, and give it all their heart. I am not seeing the emotion on the field of a state championship team--yet. Come on, Brahmas, get mean, get crazy, let's go! Just a little motherly advice!

I think Celina has a shot at winning it all!!!

DarkWing

Celina would do well to go all the way, but there is a lot of football left to be played. There is a lot of talent to face between now and a state game and each week brings a new threat. Good attitude for the Bobcats. Thanks!

When Burnet plays Marlin, if we beat them it still isn't the same unless you beat the full package. I wanted to play Marlin at 100%. There will always be a doubt, of course if they win more power to em.

Anybody else see in the paper (Bellville Times) where Coach Chancellor agrees with me(not that we consulted, we are just both right). He wants to see "more fire and intensity" on defense. As I said, "get mean, get crazy", Brahmas! Champions give it all they've got, with all their hearts. I know the heart and desire are there, just let loose, Bulls!

I think Burnet got really shaken up by the injury and Everman "stepped it up and won it for Corey" Don't know if Burnet would've won, but maybe a better game.

Well burnet is deffinetly going to be the team to beat i believe but someone said on another post that Everman lost alot.....Thats the same thing that happen in 2001 and look what happen. Same thing in 2002 look what happen. I guess time will only tell for 2003....Go Bulldogs

Matthew328
09-19-2003, 07:08 AM
I think that statement is valid..Everman really stepped it up and won it for Corey...but like I said last year Burnet didn't match up well with Everman..especially the Burnet D vs the Everman O

Can we please let this game go down in history and give Everman credit for winning Back to Back State championships? At halftime Everman led 13-7. Forney people know, ask a few knowledgeable Sinton or Kennedale fans, if you want to beat Everman you better jump on them quick. Their coaching staff is terrific at making halftime adjustments. No one on the field knew how serious Corey's injury was during the game, the team was informed he was paralyzed immediately following the game. Like Matt said, Burnet's D had no answer for our offense, Everman had 404 yards rushing for the game, and 86 passing. Everman scored both on the ground and in the air. If not for 56 yards in penalty's, Everman would have had over 500 yards. I have a great fondness for the community of Burnet. The support, both financial and otherwise they have shown Corey is unbelievable! And I know a few posters get carried away and are not truly representive of the entire community. I wish Burnet luck and hope we get the chance to meet again. I am sorry this is so long, I just had to get this off my chest.

Daingerfield is better right now than they were playing in the state-semi's last year against Greenwood;(10-0)loss. They already have 1,100 yds offense in 3 games and are avg. 42 points a game. On defense they have given up 3tds towards the end of the games with subs in. Anyone who thought they were good last year, lookout because they are even better than that this year.
