The 177 3A programs of the new alignment have won a combined 72 state titles over the years.
3 of the new districts have teams which can claim 32 of those titles (2-3A, 9-3A and 25-3A)
8 of the new districts have no teams that have ever won even 1 state title in football (4-3A, 11-3A, 12-3A, 18-3A, 22-3A, 27-3A, 31-3A & 32-3A)
4 of those districts have no teams that have ever even advanced to play in a state final (4-3A, 11-3A, 12-3A & 32-3A)
1 district has no teams that have ever advanced past the quarterfinal round of the playoffs (12-3A)
There are 7 programs that have never qualified for the 11-man playoffs in their history. 3 of them are brand new schools (Lovejoy, Rudder and Canyon Lake). Ranchview only just opened in 2004. Huntington has been around since 1982, and Nevada Community and Whitesboro have been waiting since the playoffs began in 1920 to get an invitation.
This is the same format I used in my playoff ranking I posted a while back. Each column represents a specific playoff round that a program has advanced to.
Ch is the total number of championships won.
Fn is the total number of losses in the state finals
Sm is the total number of losses in the semifinals
Qu is the total number of losses in the quarterfinals
16 is the total number of losses in the round of 16
32 is the total number of losses in the round of 32
64 is the total number of losses in the round of 64
