Adamson, once considered among the area’s lowly teams, completed one of its best football seasons with a 6-4 record. Two players, running back DeAires Lynn and linebacker/offensive lineman Hector Mendoza, signed with Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan.
“I feel like a proud papa right now,” second-year Adamson coach Andy Gutierrez said. “The one thing I guaranteed to the kids is that if they wanted to play football, we’d find a place for them.”
Gutierrez said three or four other Adamson players could sign later this year.
