Seems like Tx Tech was close to having an amazing class but with Jones going to Alabama and then Skyline's Keanon Cooper to Minnesota and Camden, Ark. defensive end Brian Christopher to Arkansas..both of those who were oral commits to Tx Tech

Jones never visited Tech. Decided early last week that it was essentially down to OU and Bama.

Cooper backing out at the last second was a low blow. When he committed to Tech about 10 days ago...he said he did so because he wanted the other finalists (Kansas and Minnesota) to be able to find a player to fill the scholarship they were holding for him. Yesterday afternoon, he decides to go to Minnesota to play with his friends. Sad thing is that one friend likely won't make the team and another will not qualify academically.

Christopher was a very similar situation. He committed to Tech...said he had no desire to go to Arkie...but once his friend Askew told Arkie this morning that he was going to Tech as well...Arkie offers Christopher (don't know how when it's supposed to be a dead period) and now that Askew's best friend can go to Arkie with him...he decides to go to Arkie instead.

Between Knight leaving, OC Dana Holgerson heading Houston to take the same job (can't blame him) and the 2 late decommits...it's been a rough 48 hours for TT fans.
