Would love to know each teams pre-district schedule. I know that Sealy's is Rice, Hempstead, Brookshire Royal, Second Baptist of Houston and St Pius of Houston. How about the other teams in both district? Yes Sealy is growing, but now close to 50% of the school is Hispanic.

I was reading in the paper there that the first year soccer team is doing pretty well there in Sealy. I remember in elementary school with coach Cherny, we would chant "eat tiger meat' on our way to p.e. they start the rivalry young.

Sealy's first year soccer team has been doing really well. Sort of reflects the fact that most of the growth in numbers is Hispanic and doesn't necessarily translate (?) to more bodies on the FB field.

I AGREE, IT DOES NOT MEAN MORE PLAYERS ON THE FOOTBALL. WITH A EVER INCREASING HISPANIC ENROLLMENT, YOU WILL SEE SOCCER GROW AND FOOTBALL DECLINE. ONE ONLY NEEDS TO LOOK AT THE HISD SCHOOLS. LOOK AT HOUSTON LEE, THEY ARE MAJORITY HISPANIC IN THE SCHOOL AND NO LONGER PLAY FOOTBALL. LOOK AT THE DECLINE IN THE ALIEF SCHOOL DISTRICT WHERE THEY ARE HAVING A LARGE HISPANIC GROWTH. ELSIK AND HASTINGS NOW BARELY MAKE THE PLAYOFFS WHERE THEY ONCE WERE VERY DOMINATE.

Last year the Bellville School Board was approached about adding soccer as a varsity sport. I believe they tabled it for further discussion and projected costs.

From viewing a few other non-district schedule threads on here, it appears that Bellville may be playing Navasota and Caldwell again in 2008. With Sealy and Columbus in the new District, it looks like things won't be getting any easier for the Bulls.

I made a mistake in the Sealy Schedule for pre-district they are playing

Hempstead
Brookshire Royal
St Pius X
Houston Christian Academy
Rice

Any word on the Bellville schedule, I hear they are playing so far, Navasota, Caldwell and Wharton, any others.

The game against St Pius could get ugly.Should have scheduled somebody else other than St Pius, the panthers are turning the table on alot of 4 & 5 A schools.
