for the boys - does Connally have a chance to tie Gateville are do they have a solid lock on 2nd keeping La Vega at 3?
Thanks for the standing - Looking for who will play LH in the first round as they look to be 2nd in 18AAA and will play the 3rd place team out of 17 first game.

Gatesville has won district and LV and Connally are 2nd and third. Not sure the order because Connally won the first time they played and Lavega the second

I see Connally has Gateville tonight. Unless they pull an upset, my guess they will get third with a loss.. I think LV plays Robinson and should win.
Keep us posted on the final results please.. LH plays the third place team in the first round next week...

Keep us posted on the final results please.. LH plays the third place team in the first round next week... Connally and Lavega have both taken a step back from where they were last year. But are both still dangerous teams but I like LHs chances against either one of them.

LH already played LV in December, lost on thier floor by 6 or 8. Very athletic team but LH was cold for the night.. I do like our chances with either but you never know.. We also played Gatesville twice (tourny in Academy and schedule thier court).. got us by 10 & 12.. The hornets are the real deal...glad they are on the other side of the bracket...

as you know, I cover the girls only b/c of newspaper "orders"..haha

but it seems like the guys are jelling as the district season wears on..i hope to see the guys in the playoffs!

Lorena over CS by like 50 something. Gatesville won by 5 I think and La Vega won. So district standings look like this

Gatesville 10-0
Connally 7-3
La Vega 7-3
Lorena 4-6
Robinson 1-9
CS 1-9

I guess Connally and La Vega fliped a coin for the 2nd seed.. Connally lost as the UIL bracket has them in the playoffs as the third place seed from 17..
LH will play them next Tuesday in the first round.. How are they?

La Vega will get after you. Very aggressive. They have really started clicking lately. So they are a very dangerous team.

We had already played La Vega earlier and they were athletic..lost by 6 on thier court..

Connally and La Vega match up well. So, since you have seen L.V. play, you can almost expect duplication with the Cadets. They are fast, physical and well coached. The two times I saw them play was against Gatesville in district. Be prepared for a very physical game.
