Heard there is a possibility that the Jasper-Silsbee game could be moved to week 4 in order for both teams to have their open week right before district. Jasper has some manuvering to do.

I sure am glad that Jasper and Silsbee will still be playing each other.:)

I am very glad as well. They have been playing each other since the creation of dirt. The oldest rivalry in Southeast Texas.

It is a law. They have to play. Even that one year Silsbee landed in 5a (old 4a perhaps) they found a way to play.

To be honest, I consider Newton more of a rival then Silsbee and those two (Jasper & Newton) aren't even playing each other this year.

Newton more of a rival than Silsbee? For Jasper?

Back in the early 60's and before Jasper and Newton played, but back then it was VERY one-sided in Jasper's favor.
