Zapata is in no-man's land. Someone was gonna get stuck with a long trip regardless of where they went.

outside of D25 and 26 and Cuero I can't remember us playing any of these schools, playoffs should be fun with us facing new teams...

I like our new district (25). We ended 2007 with a playoff tilt with Giddings, and now we get the Buffs and Smithville back for the first time in quite a while. Distances are shorter and we get traditional rivals Bellville, Columbus and LaGrange. Only problem is we fell into R4, but like someone said, we get to play some different folks in the playoffs.

How about a Tuesday or Thursday night trip from Palacios to Gonzales? Or Zapata to anywhere in the region! Gonna be rough during thump thump.

only 88 miles between us... wonder where a playoff game would be if it were to happen? last time ('98) it was in the Alamo Dome, maybe the time before as well... no big stadiums in between the two (Schulenburg would be about halfway at I-10 and that wouldn't hold it)...

and it's probably our turn to make the trek this coming season. :(

It looks like for Zapata in district play, Hidalgo would be there closest trip and that would still be 100 miles.
