i think sinton isnt looking for those big games they have scheduled in the past...i think this year the route of sinton will be to schedule easier teams

I found Port Isabel's non-district schedule

CC West Oso
Pharr Valley View
Edcouch-Elsa <-----32-4A District Champs

31-3A team, and 2 4A teams. Not too bad.

But Rio Hondo....WOW

Robstown
Ingleside
Cuero

Well it balances out better than the past. We have one 4A (Moody) one 3A (Goliad) and one 2A Hebbronville.

The travel for Sinton when we play teams out of town won't be too bad. Hebbronville is 100.2 miles away and Goliad is 50.2 miles away. In district Falfurrias is 81.1 miles away and all the other opponents are less than 30 miles away except for Orange Grove which is 33.1 miles away.

Falfurrias is the team that will have to longer traveling than most but they are probably better in our district than having to travel to the valley.

I would have loved to have had Port Isabel on the schedule even though the distance is long. When we played there we could have spent the night there on Friday so that after the game gone over the bridge to South Padre Island to hear the Pelican West Band whose place is located just south of the Radisson Hotel.

I like Goliad. I wish Odem, Taft, or Refugio would play us.

ya they would have been more interesting but i mean like i said these games arent scheduled to have for sure wins...but to see what kind of team you have and potential to come before district...im all for a tough pre district schedule sure there are risks but i think its better for the team

A few years ago we played Raymondville one time here and the next year in the valley. They were both good competitive games.

I had my fingers crossed for Odem or Refugio. I've always liked these two schools.

Odem is in turmoil now with the firing of Kleinhans.

It is sad they let the GP rivalry go again.
