district 2-3a is the toughest district in the state. that's a fact, without even a down played in the 08 season.......

Na, only 3 make it to the playoffs. The 1st 2 spots are already won. The 3rd will be a dog fight.

Oh and we set a record with 361 total posters online today! good work

I do not think you will get much argument there. District 25 will be good, and Gilmer and Tatum coming out of the same district will make some noise. Do we have to wait until the new school year before enrollment numbers determines D1 and D2 possibilities?

The official UIL list title only has 2008-2010 Football and 2008-2009 Basketball. Will basketball change after one year? What about baseball, etc? Is that just a given that it will be the same?

FutureAD
02-01-2008, 11:02 AM
basketball should stay the same for two years also...

That is your opinion.

Things will definitely be different for Snyder. Y'all will be fighting hard for that third playoff spot, instead of waltzing to the Quarters like you are used to.

Obviously UIL is making up for the over-powered region III over the past few years.

New district 25 and making these teams region 4; and new district 8 and making them region 1

Go look at it closely and you will understand what I am saying.

Region 4 and region 1 are greatly improved in number of quality teams with this alignment.:D :D :D :D

I won't lie to you. District 8 will be a all out war. WOW

With no district 6, does district 5 get a first round bye in the playoffs? How does that work. Just looking at who we could possibly meet in the 1st round if we go again.:D

I like your thinking but with Mathis being stout in Baseball recently it is conceivable our home town could be out of the playoffs a time or two. nahh... j/k
Hands down this IS the hardest Baseball district Class 3A... WOW!

Interesting realignment, for sure. I'm sure most people saw Liberty Hill moving back to Region IV and joining up with those folks. Gilmer in Region III will bring some good games, IMO. Looks like the UIL evened up the regions some, talentwise. The best thing is there are no more 1-9 playoff team possibilities.
