Actor...he was in Brokeback Mountain and Lords of Dogtown, plus a bunch of other movies I can't think of right now.

The actor Heath Ledger was found dead this afternoon in an apartment building at 421 Broome Street in SoHo, according to the New York City police. Mr. Ledger was 28.
At 3:31 p.m., a masseuse arrived at Apartment 5A in the building for an appointment with Mr. Ledger, the police said. The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of Mr. Ledger’s bedroom. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened the bedroom and found Mr. Ledger unconscious. They shook him, but he did not respond. They immediately called the authorities. The police said they did not suspect foul play and said they found pills near body.
Mr. Ledger, a native of Perth, Australia, won acclaim for his role as a co-star in “Brokeback Mountain”, a 2005 film. The film, based on a novel by Larry McMurtry about two cowboys who fall in love, won critical acclaim. Reviewing the film in The New York Times, the critic Stephen Holden wrote, “Mr. Ledger magically and mysteriously disappears beneath the skin of his lean, sinewy character. It is a great screen performance, as good as the best of Marlon Brando and Sean Penn.”

He's the guy with accent and the long curly hair. He's the reason my wife watches that damn movie all the time.

I think it's already completely shot and in post-production, so probably nothing.

The movie has been completed so we will get to see him in it. He was filming another movie, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, and I don't know how it will affect this one. This one is still listed as "filming" at IMDB.

Just an afterthought unfortunately. He took on the role of what is supposed to be an extremely sinister Joker.

i may get blasted for this, but i posted this bulletin on myspace... and this is just what a friend posted...

Heath Ledger Died - Who Gives a crap.....Not I.
There's more important people who have contributed much more to this world who died. This weekend a local Corpus Christi Police Officer, Matt Thebeau was killed in the line of duty in a horrible car crash. At the age of 25, he actually offered something to this world besides appearances on movies and magazines. But we can all whine and mourn, and be shocked about another Hollywood doper who is unstable and killed themselves. Why would anyone look up to these people or respect them? Pathetic. -- Curtis Rock, Former Mayorial Candidate of Corpus Christi
-------------------------------------------------------
My Response:
So I got to thinking, and Mr Rock is right... Do yourself a favor and read up about people who have mattered in our lives. Read about Dr King, learn who Cesar Chavez was (not the boxer), and more importantly, register to vote!

I don't care what roles he picked, he was a very talented actor. I hate to see anyone pass at such a young age. He was someones son, brother, and father. RIP Heath!

Well, I hadn't paid attention but wow.

How sad. I was always taught that God loves all his children. *shrug*

They are entitled to their opinion and I'm entitled to mine and IMO they are a bunch of hyprocrites!

Love thy neighbor people. It is not your place to pass judgement.

The actions of Fred Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church are so "over the top" that I have concluded this operation is probably some kind of government "psy op" to attempt to generate sympathy for the very groups they are supposedly picketing and also to discredit organized religion in general (which does a pretty good job of that itself, much of the time).
