Matthew328
01-20-2008, 03:54 PM
yeah they have some drives but they are kind of on an island in a way..I guess they could slide into 17-3A w/the Waco schools though

Liberty, Cleveland, and Cleveland Tarkington are much closer to the Houston schools and Huffman-Hargrave. I think it's more likely to have the two following districts:

Jasper
Bridge City
Hardin-Jefferson
Silsbee
Orangefield
West Orange-Stark
Hamshire-Fannett?

Huffman Hargrave
Houston Scarborough
Houston Forest Brook
Liberty
Cleveland
Cleveland Tarkington
Hamshire-Fannett?

Hamshire-Fannett could actually go into either district. They're about the same distance from both these sets of schools.

My mystery of Rockdale in 18-3A is solved...I had on my spreadsheet a note to move Lorena back to 17-3A and I didn't do it before I copied and pasted..so there is my edit...maybe I should proof my notes before posting...LOL

tight...we can murder rogers and rosebud....or we can be in stiff competion with mart ....either way if my grade was a year behind....state championships would abound in baseball

Hey Balla I believe you guys will go into the 2A district with Marlin, Mart, R-Lott and Rogers. Going to 2A won't be as easy as it may sound.

Do you think the Yoe will petition to stay 3A?

c-town_balla
01-20-2008, 06:03 PM
No we will go 2a

mart and marlin will be a challenge....

Obviously Matt, you don't know where these schools are located. Do a little more research next time.

I have a general idea of where the locations where..I sent my mock to Alan who lives in Houston and he would have made some geographical corrections...but luckily some nice folks decided to assist me with my corrections....which I appreciate...

But since you questioned my lack of research please feel free to call several hundred UIL schools and put out your own mock alignments for 4A and 3A :)

I got better things to do.:) For starters, to be critical of your work.:p

Just get it right the first time and you won't here from me. Not too hard, is it?;)

This is what your alignment would look like if arranged exactly like your original post....

District 17 - Red
District 18 - Orange
District 19 - Green
District 20 - Teal
District 21 - Blue
District 22 - Purple
District 23 - Pink

It looks to me like maybe Madisonville would better go in District 18 than Rockdale to keep at least 6 teams in the district. Rockdale would go to District 19 and Bryan Rudder to District 20. Then move Huffman, Scarborough and Forest Brook to District 21, and Bridge City, Silsbee and Jasper to District 22. Hardin-Jefferson (H-J on the map) is actually the one that would be in between, not Hamshire-Fannett. Hardin-Jefferson could go to either 21 or 22.

Good grief...Quit acting like a tool...He put in a lot of time to give everyone here some information on how the next realignment might turn out. People like you that give someone grief over this are ridiculous.

As a Rockdale fan I like it. These are teams that we have played in the past but not on a regular basis. It would be a good change.

I'd imagine that our predistrict schedule could fall out with Taylor, Cameron, Lexington, Caldwell and maybe Giddings. Who knows....

Then again, the UIL (Undermining Intellegent Logic) could make District 18-3A Rockdale, Liberty Hill, Llano, Taylor, Austin Johnston and also Smithville. They always seem to add a school that makes you think why did they do that.

You never know............

Dog, may happen like this, of course all is speculation:

Rockdale, Cameron, Taylor, Smithville, Giddings, Caldwell, La Grange. JMO

Dogman_1969

That's the rumors here in town with the exception of Cameron. Just about everyone is in the camp of they are headed to 2A and possibly even in Lexington's district.

It'll all be out in a few weeks.......

Cameron in 2a, with Lexington and Hearne!! OH BOY!!!

You never know............ I could see playing cameron but I don't thinki Lexington is a team we should waste a pre-district game with. A matchup with LH is more suitable to get them ready for district.

Lexington is not a wasted game....the last two years they gave us a good test ....as good as any area 3a team could

and yall are gonna play cameron even if we are 1a

1. I dont think Cameron will drop.
2. Putting schools in a district with larger ISD's like Houston and Dallas will be a nighmare with meetings, scheduling, paperwork.
3. Mart will be A but dont count on state champioships. Alto is good and Mart is seeing the first signs of a serious dropoff begining with last years first round playoff loss to Hamilton.
4. I coud see a situation where Marlin goes region 2 wih Hamliton, Clifton, Mcgregor, ect. 3 schools west of Marlin should/could drop to 1A Riesel, Mart, Crawford. With the movement of people from the west the UIL will have to move people from the west to fill up the region. Example look at the districts now. See how far east the people are in region 1.
5. I can also see a nightmare with officiating chapters. With possible Interdistricts being together with others and the travel involved get ready to pay more and not just for your own travel and paperwork of contracts.

As for distance, wouldn't it be closer for Bellville to play in district 19 and Bryan play in 20? Bryan is close to Caldwell but Bellville is a lot closer to all in 19.

I'm not sure who will be in dist. but I do think Cameron will drop to 2a. Pre dist. will be Madisonville, Llano, Elgin, and possibly Liberty Hill. Cameron "if" they go 2a will also be a pre-dist game.
