I know it's not HS but I signed up my son to play little league and both my wife and I have signed up to coach the team. This will be our first coaching stint. I'm kind of excited.

I will give you some advice. If you're coaching little kids, 10 and under, let them have fun. Don't have the best kid pitching all the time and playing shortstop. Let them move around a little bit, but I don't mean all the time.
Also teach the kids the game. Meaning, don't teach them that they have to have their back elbow up when batting, casting their hands when swinging, leaning way over with their back to field a ground ball, throwing without proper rotation coming out of the hand.... etc....
