I actually have a facination with 12/21/12 which is the supposed end of the Mayan calendar. But this dude makes me think how crazy the thought is. It may have some merit but until rational humans discuss it I cannot take it seriously. This is so bizare it almost seems contrived to discredit those who might take it seriously.

actually they predicted it as the end of an AGE. That doesn't necessarily mean the end of the human race....but still, I can't wait for it, 2000+ years in the making and god willing, i will be here to witness it.

I read somewhere that the year 2012 should of been this year or next year and we shouldn't be in the year 2007. Don't remember the History Channel TV show too clearly but the point was that 12/21/12 should be here a couple of years sooner because of the way we (the modern age) made our calenders and we are in the wrong year.

It really is interesting that the world follows a calendar based upon Christianity when many in the world dipises it. If you think about the calendar logically it makes no sense. It has differing length months and rules like leap year to correct its inaccuarcies.

The Chinese calendar is thirteen 28 day months that coincide with lunar cycles and my wifes mood! I read that the Romans invented the predicessor to the modern calendar and forced it on those whom they conquered. I guess that includes us.

Who knows what the date really is. Has someone been keeping track? When did that start? I could not have started the day Jesus was born as that is even in dispute.

there is irony in that the calendar was set at his birth, and now we guess that we were 4-7 years off
