Isn't their star QB just a junior?

Better opportunity at Duncanville. They'll give you everything you can possibly want in order to succeed there and the pay for whoever he has as assistants is really high as well.

Isn't Lake Travis a growing city? and they have that indoor facility correct? Duncanville is stuck in the mud...bad move in my opinion

maybe he just wants to get closer to dallas

Duncanville doesn't have a bad tradition, but it certainly isn't the place i would've picked

Maybe LT will agree to play us now that Dicus is leaving. :D

That would be an interesting matchup. They couldn't stop Beeville's slot t, and only made stops when Beeville fell behind and resorted to the shotgun. That's where their strength is. Their athletecism. Not too disciplined on D though.

coach dicus has a lot of connections with d-ville adminstration whichs makes work a lot easier when you like your bosses.....LT is a growing area...not city.........but LT.........has too many problems..........and they tend to start with the parents........good luck to Coach Discus.............man D-ville could become a beast.

where did you read it was for 120k. I find that hard to believe. That would make him the highest paid in Texas.

oh...just read 120k with salary and perks. That makes sense then. For instance, Coach Dodge only made like 90 at Southlake but made like 40-50k in other perks.

you would think that....but as far as over athletics D-ville is prob. better........LT does have an incredible wt. room and indoor facility...but their stadium is pretty avg.

Duncanville will pay top dollar to bring in who they want. This isn't recent, but I know that seven years ago or so they were paying their defensive coordinator around 65-70k JUST to coach the defense and do little else throughout the rest of the year. Seeing DeSoto and Cedar Hill win while they are stuck in neutral kind of motivates them to go out and spend big money on coaches.

one thing about d-ville is they love athletics.......they might be one of the only schools to win state in each sport at one time or another.....and with the band winning competitions also.

in sports i mean the big three...football, basketball and baseball

weight room (http://www.ltcavalierfootball.com/id6.html)

"activity" center (http://www.ltcavalierfootball.com/id59.html)

It's been almost 3 years since I've been there, but at the time, they had 2 or 3 outdoor practice fields; enough for a good-size 7-7 tourney. I think they were turf.

Duncanville isn't as nice an area as Lake Travis but their facilities are far from bad....they have some major athletes there and more of a chance at long term success than Lake Travis who right now just has a special group coming through

duncanville has change a lot from when i was growing up in the area...but one constant is they do well in all sports.........use to just be known for baseball and girls basketball.
