I keep hearing that in the current playoff format, #1 seeds were 17-0 going into this postseason and now 17-1 with teh Cowboys loss. Wasn't San Diego the #1 Seed last year in the AFC? And they lost to NE in the Divisional Round.

San Diego was the #2 seed last year. the Colts were the #1 seed in the AFC.

that's just the NFC #1 seeds...the system was invented in 1990, so there have now been 18 seasons with it, and NFC #1 seeds are now 17-1 in the Divisional round.

Yeah...they played KC at home and then went to Baltimore as the #3 seed.
Chargers were #1 at 14-2, Ravens were #2 at 13-3.

Colts lost to Pittsburg in the divisonal round when they were the number 1 seed in 05-06 season
