LOL! Now I've got coffee on me. :D

Here's the Reader's Digest version. The company I've worked for going on 12 years found out late October that our largest account had made the decision to move their business to another agency beginning 1/1. The majority of the lay-offs happened in November. My immediate department was needed for "clean-up" duty through sometime this month. There are 15 in my department, with there now only being enough work for 5. :( I got a phone call this morning for a Monday morning meeting.....individual meetings to "let us know what's going on...and I hope this doesn't ruin your day off and weekend".

I'll hire ya. My company does the wind thingies, and I'm the man that does the hiring. Can you operate a bull dozer, crain, front end loader, dump truck, trackhoe, backhoe, bobcat, or motor grader? If so, be here Monday morning. Oh I need a few high voltage terminators also.:D

One has more seniority, and one hits (maybe) 10 years at the end of this month. Unfortunately, from a "business sense", seniority may not be a good thing.

Well at least you are one hot mama and just flat out dead sexy!

I think your job is OK, for now.

But, I would definitely start interviewing for new opportunities before all your department's jobs are eliminated.

You will be in my thoughts on Monday. I know how you are feeling. I left a job because of the risk of getting laid off only to get laid off at the new job. Now, I'm back at my old job. Good luck.
