but its still a good example of the "4 teams to the playoffs" actually making some sense....

Don't go giving the UIL an excuse to put 4 teams in lower classifications! ;)

2 4th place teams made it. Pflugerville as well.

wow...2 teams. That is wild.

I would never have a problem with them allowing 4 in the lower classifications as well. All it does is add 1 round to Division 1. Thats all it does. The cream will rise to the top!

There will some 4A 4th place teams make some noise in the playoffs next year too I bet!

What about the 4-team districts??? You would HAVE to get rid of those before implementing 4 teams to the playoffs.

Also, I'm curious how many playoff games actually lose money for the schools involved. I'm sure it's a small %...but that should be factored in. I wouldn't think too many people would travel to watch their 1-9/0-10 team in the playoffs.

The UIL has already stated that there will be NO MORE 4 team districts (for sure) and possibly no 5 team districts either!!
