3A Down Low would like to remind everyone that Reclassification and Realignment for the 2008-2010 school years will be released at 9 a.m. CST on Friday, Feb. 1, 2008. 3A Down Low will once again be there to get the information posted on our website ASAP. We have taken pride the past several realignments to be the first source in Texas (Not including the obvious UIL) to have a copy available just minutes after they have been released. As soon as the information is available to us, we will post it on the forum AND the 3ADL Website so that our members don't have to visit a site that will timeout for hours at a time due to the huge amount of traffic that the UIL receives on realignment day.

Thanks for making 3ADL the best site for Texas 3A High School Athletics!

Heck, I'm probably getting laid off Monday, so it's looking like I'll be off, too. Otherwise, I'm sure that there is some kind of debilitating flu that will strangely hit around 7:00 that morning.

Does anyone think the UIL will balance the regional numbers a little better this time?

not until the regions have enough teams to balance

in other words, no

instead of moving south and east for more teams, Region I could just have another empty district, if they are going to keep to their 2:1 guideline

Just read a projection for 32-3A that looks like this

La Feria
Hidalgo
Port Isabel
Rio Hondo
Raymondville
Lyford
Progreso
Zapata

Plus Robstown, CC Tuloso Midway, and Rockport-Fulton move down to 3A

I have heard from UIL that they will attempt to keep the 2:1 ratio just as in the past. They have also said they will be eliminating some more districts and to expect more 8 team districts for this realignment.

Will the realighnment information be posted on this forum or will I need to go somewhere else on this site to find it?

Most likely it will, in order to get the quickest report. We'll then get it loaded to the district pages on the home page. (Use the "home" key at the top to get there.)

I think it will be before that. Right at 9 everyone in texas will hit refresh at the same time and cause it to not even make it that long.
